Posted: May 1, 2011
Oat growers have a new combination seed treatment option available this spring.
Syngenta Crop Protection Canada announced that its Cruiser Maxx Cereals product previously available for wheat and barley now has an expanded label that includes oats. The product offers a combination of two seed treatments against cereal diseases along with an insecticide to suppress wireworm.
"Cruiser Maxx is proven to be an effective, preventative treatment for wheat and barley, protecting these seeds from damaging diseases and insects, so we are very pleased to extend this protection to oats this year," says Paul Allen, Seed Care Brand Manager, Syngenta Canada.
The product is based on the active ingredients thiamethoxam, metalaxyl-M and difenoconazole, the company says.
